This week has been a good week. Last Monday after preparation day ended we went around on the bikes to go try and find people to teach. We talked to Jonathan who we've seen before and he let us in to talk with him for a little bit. We started talking and he had a ton of questions and so we got to answer his questions and he wanted to read the book of Mormon which is awesome.
It was raining a lot too and in order to get to his house we cut through a graveyard. To get into the graveyard we go through this little fence that's broken and we almost fell into the river that was in the little canal. It was a good time to bike in the rain and we almost totally got soaked.
On Tuesday we had the last District Council of the transfer which was crazy. Elder Harker left for  Colombia and Elder Randall is here with Elder McDaniel. It was a good time and later we were able to go out with the Leon family. They just moved here from Utah and wanted to go with us on a couple visits. So we tried by a couple people were teaching and none of them were home and we ended up going to Hector's house. It was a good time, we got to talk to him about his family and it was a good little visit with them.
Then on Wednesday we had transfers and obviously Elder Casey and I both stayed in Frederick. So Elder McDaniel stayed with us in the morning while Elder Harker went to Columbia. So we did studies until Elder Randall got here to go with Elder McDaniel. So in the afternoon we went over by the Leon house to go knock a couple doors. We had a good time talking to a dude named Josh who had a lot of good questions about the purpose of life. So we got to talk to him about why life is so hard and it was really really good. And then as we were kind of leaving we went to knock the neighbor of the Leon's house because they speak Spanish. But as we were trying by we saw Shared outside with his dogs and talked to him a little bit. He let us in to get water and by the time we left we had eaten dinner and shared a spiritual message. Plus their dogs are super super cool.
Then we biked around some more and got to go to Samir's house. Him and his wife are super smart with the Bible and so it was a good time to learn a little bit from them and talk about the restored gospel. They go off in Spanish and sometimes it's really hard to follow them because they use so many hard words to understand. But more or less we got our message across of what we wanted to share with them and it went pretty well. They invited us to go to this lecture thing with him and so we gave him our number and hopefully they call us.
On Thursday we had weekly planning which was same as usual and went back over to Hector's house and got to talk to him. Then we went to talk to Jose and he was a little sick so we just shared a quick video with him. Elder Casey said he heard the people in the kitchen which is funny because we were looking for Josue and Elvis because they wanted to learn English. But as we've been trying by they haven't been home so we'll see what happens.
Then on Friday I had a meeting for leadership and that was really good. I kind of just sat there and didn't say a whole lot cause I was just trying to figure out what the heck was going on but we went out in the afternoon on our bikes again and it was super super cold and rainy. So the weather's been getting a little crazy the leaves are all falling off and it's getting really cold.
Saturday we got to go over to Saul and Isis's house. we had a good lesson with them and got to set up a family home evening for the next week. It's going to be a lot of fun with them because they are so interested in learning more and continuing to progress. They got baptized 4 months ago and so they're Branch missionaries now. They have super strong testimonies and every time we go out with him it's in really good time. Then we talked to a bunch of people by a Latino market and that was really good. We got to talk to Ismael and Ramon we had a good little lesson with them and they were really looking for the truth out of all the churches. They had some good questions and seemed really really interested.
Then yesterday we had Church and no one was able to come sadly but it was a good time. Elder Randall and Elder Casey did translation which is super good practice for them. After church we went and dropped off the hats at Karin's house. She was super grateful and happy to have the hats. She's going through chemotherapy and so now she has some hats to keep her warm. In the afternoon we went out to visit a member named Ingris with Isis and her kids. It went super well and we had such a blast. But ya this week has been awesome! Love and miss you all!
