July 9th, 2018

This week has been good, we had the 4th of July and met President Mutombo.
For the 4th we did our regular missionary stuff and went to Felix's house for lunch. We had some watermelon, carne asada and that good ol fashioned rice.

But at night we weren't allowed to go out because the city was supposed to be really crazy so I just took a nap cause I was sick this week as well.

We made some good pulled pork sandwiches and just celebrated for like 15 minutes by ourselves. But we saw some fireworks and heard a lot more, or gunshots I couldn't tell.
The AC got fixed last Monday so we are doing a lot better haha.

President Mutombo is awesome. he is from the Congo and his wife is learning how to speak English. He is so lively and just like a kid still. Hes got a pretty young family and all the kids are super funny. During the meeting where we met him his kids were pushing one another in a wheelchair and they came in to show their dad, kids are the best.

Other than than nothing new really happened. We are trying to meet all the embers in our area and go to different parts of the city, so far no luck but this week we are gonna look for some more Spanish speakers. Love you all!
