August 5th, 2019

Holy cow the time is flying by it is insane. We have so much stuff to do that I didn't have time last week to send an email, I just sent some pics. Last week we had Zone conference, it was a blast. President Mutombo is such a stud. We had a good time driving up to PA for the conference. We also had a meeting the other week with the mission leaders. It is always humbling to be there and think that people look to us as examples. Also I saw Elder Harker there, and its probably the last time I will see him in the mission. That was whack haha, I remember 16 months ago we were companions talking about what we would do in the end of 2019. Now here it is. So it was good to see him, and it was good to see and learn from all the new leaders in the mission.
2 people we are teaching are progressing super well! Raul has a baptismal date for the 17th of August now and he is super excited. He loves coming to church and he retains so much of what we teach. His sister in law is a member so he hears a lot from her. We are basically at their house almost every day. There is an 11 year old kid that just got to the US last month. We are teaching him as well and he wants to get baptized the 24th of August. So we are super close to that family and we always have these huge lessons with them all. PLUS there is a a girl that's 8 that wants to be baptized too. She is the smartest little girl and I am blown away every time she talks about wanting to be baptized or about Christ. I totally understand why Christ always said "to let the little children come to me." They are literally the coolest people ever!
We found this guy yesterday while out working. We had talked to his wife a couple months ago, and she never gave us any info to go back. Elder Wynn is in Frederick and totally saw her and talked to her. So he got her info and sent it to us. We went over yesterday and tried to talk with the family. The father opened the door and invited us in. We went into his office and he told us to share what we had with him. We start to talk about Christ, the restored church, baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost and the Book of Mormon.  At the end of our talk and after questions and answers from both ends he tells us, "I love you guys. You are my brothers." He said we could go back whenever and he knew that we told him the truth. It was awesome because this guy was super humble and could tell that what we bring to people's homes is the truth. As we are about to leave he tells us, "I didn't give you my real identity at first." He goes on to tell us that he is a pastor at a different church and that he has all these degrees and is a doctor. It was awesome. We have an appointment with him next week so we are super stoked for that.
Last week we had exchanges with the Frederick Elders so that was a blast. I was with Elder Sellers and we got some good work done. At the end of the night we got stuck in traffic and had to start a conference call with President and other mission leaders. It was brutal. But we finally got home and did our call. I was so dead that night lol, with all 4 Elders at our place Elder Guzman and I slept on the floor. But we had a great exchange with the other Elders.
The Lord's hand is in our work every day. It is truly an honor to be out here and serve all these people. If you all could keep Elder LLewellyn in your prayers it would be super appreciated. He had a brain tumor taken out recently and needs all the prayers he can get.
Love and miss you all!
Elder Price
