This week was a really good one!! We went on exchanges again and so I was back with Elder Harker. It was just like old times haha we had such a blast and they have a cool path next to their apartment so we biked through it and almost crashed at night it was so dark.
We went with one of the bishops from one of the wards to visit a lady in the hospital. She was having some crazy health problems and we have her a blessing with the bishop. Then he bought dinner and we almost forgot our bags in his car. Then we talked to a couple people like this dude named E who had gotten to the states 15 days before we met him. He told us about his journey and how He had to cross the border it was crazy. But we just stopped the bikes and started talking to him and it seemed like he really needed it.
Plus we got those super sick summer popsicles with the gum ball eyeballs. It was such a fun time. Then on Wednesday we decided to ride our bikes to just visit a certain part of town.
Then Elder Casey is like "hey we should go visit Saul and Isis." So we biked over there and we walked in and she was hurting from her back. We talked with them and she had just gotten back from the doctor. So we have her a blessing as well. But they got to go to the temple on Saturday and do baptisms for her mom who passed away!
We visited E again this week and everything went good with his legal stuff. He has been doing so good at keeping the word of Wisdom and said that he hasn't wanted to drink coffee. But we are just helping him understand and live everything for his baptism in October!! He is doing so well and is understanding the scriptures so much better. We used to read with him and he would get really confused but now he understands perfectly what we read.
But this week we have been biking a ton and after that race on Saturday I have been dead lol. On Saturday we ran a 5K and I have never ran a 5K before haha.
So we get a call on Friday night and Elder Harker told me I had to run with him. So I ran in basically full church clothes, I felt SO WEIRD. All of those people were probably like who the heck are these kids running in shorts and ties. But it was a good time and we got to talk to a lot of people.
Elder Harker and I were the first missionaries to cross the finish line so we won golden coral.
So next transfer when we are on exchanges we can go haha. Sunday was great we had church and then a "Por Que Yo Creo" which was basically a testimony meeting. It was great, president Advincula and his family are leaving this Thursday. He's going to Korea to be deployed so we got a new branch President. Felix and some other members came from Baltimore and it was so awesome to see them all again. We had a great time and had some good food too. This week has been great and time is flying by I can't believe it's already October.
Love and miss you all!!
