February 11th, 2019

This week has been a great week. Last Tuesday we had Zone Conference. That was a good time. We talked a lot about deepening out own conversion which was sweet. The week was kinda slow but the weekend was hype. Friday night we finished a lesson with the Jones family and then the car sounded funny. We pull over and the tire had popped from dinner at the Lucas house. So we had to change the tire and put on the skinny donut wheel. So that was a change. We had to go in the next morning to get it changed. I smacked Elder Guzman at checkers Haha. Then we had Frankie's baptism. He is an 8 year kid in a returning family. The other Elders had helped them for a couple months and they came to church a couple weeks ago. They have come back super strong and now their son got baptized. It was sweet to be a part of it. It was all in Spanish so that was sweet. Then we headed over to Harper's Ferry for a Blitz. Thats where all the missionaries in the zone go to one area and work for a day. So we got there totally late but got some good work done. One of the few people we tried by opened and we got to teach his girlfriend. She was from the Philippines and was just so ready to hear the gospel. She took a Book of Mormon and was asking how long it took to change religions. SO it was sweet fro the other Elders. Then after dinner we went tracting in a random area. We just picked a place to go and went. We dropped off the other Elders and headed over. We were in this backwoods trailer park thing. It was super dark and we got to talk to these two kids. They were super cool but told us all their neighbors were crackheads. So we asked which ones would like to hear about the gospel. We tried by one and he was definitely not all there in the head. He said yes he would love to hear about the gospel and then changed his mind and closed the door lol. SO we went back to talk to the kids since all the places had a keep out sign and no trespassing. We figured it would be better to go back than to get shot or something whack. But it legit looked like Black ops zombies with a bunch of old cars and broken stuff. Some guy talked to us from his car and suggested we didn't go knocking because all those people were whack. So we dipped out of there and picked up the other Elders. It was a good blitz and we got a lot done. Then yesterday we got to visit Meghan again. She is doing well but wasn't feeling too good. So we just visited her and got to know some of her family. It was a good time. But yea this week has been another great one.
