This week has flown by again its ridiculous
I cant believe this transfer is almost over It feels like I just got here.
This week we did a lot haha. We did 3 exchanges in a row.
My first was with Elder Reed. We were knocking and he felt like we needed to go see a former. So we knock on his door an he lets us in, he needed help moving and said we came right in time. It was so perfectly timed.
We went over the next day with Elder Barlow and Elder Cannon and helped him move his house into the back of the truck. This man Tom had so much audio equipment. His closet door was taken out to put in 2 18 inch sub woofers and he had carpet on the wall. It was insane and super fun. Hes moving to Tennessee and we told him to look up the missionaries when he got there, hes so ready to hear the gospel and seems so ready to accept it.
Then on exchanges with Elder Howell the day after we walked a lot and tried to meet with some investigators and knocked a little. We walked like 11 blocks and then it started to pour haha we were soaking wet by the time we got to Eduardo and Jose's house. They gave us a towel as soon as we got in. We taught Jose and answered his questions, it was hard without Elder Barlow because he spoke so quick. But when we were leaving he opened the door and then closed it again and asked us if we were really going to go back out. We both just smiled and said ya people need to hear our message, he was so shocked we walked right back out into the rain and down the street. And go figure this is the day I left my jacket at home and Elder Howell had his in the trunk haha.
Then I had exchanges with Elder Graff the last day and we knocked a lot and saw lots of cats on the street. None of our appointments went through that day but while knocking we found some more to teach maybe in the future. We taught a lady named Ashley on her porch in English and gave her a book of Mormon. Then the next day we helped the Orenga family move out of their house and into another one.
It was fun and they gave us pizza, The son had Type 1 and a pump which I thought was super crazy. Then on Sunday we had Branch Conference on the other side of the river which is like 40 minutes away. It was fun and I got to talk to a lot of members and set up some dinners and times to come over and get to know the members more. We had a linger longer so right after sacrament meeting they brought out a bunch of food and we all had lunch together.
Dominican potato salad is ridiculously good. On Saturday it snowed a bunch and the cars got grounded so we had to stay at the other elders apartment for the night and played monopoly for a super long time I had to give up I was so tired.
